You can make perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside salmon fillets using your air fryer. This simple garlic butter recipe is fast, healthy, and ideal for your weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 lemon, cut into wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry using paper towels. This step helps you achieve a crispy exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, melted butter, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the olive oil over all sides of the salmon fillets.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Carefully place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  7. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the top is lightly browned and crispy.
  8. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down first and cook for 8 minutes before flipping and adding the butter mixture for the last 2-4 minutes.
  • If you prefer a different flavor, substitute the garlic butter mixture with 1 tablespoon of your favorite teriyaki sauce or honey garlic glaze.
  • This recipe is naturally low carb and fits well into a healthy eating plan.
