Prepare rich, creamy baked salmon featuring garlic, Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. This recipe delivers a gourmet flavor profile similar to Marry Me Chicken.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Place the salmon in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, if using, until smooth.
  4. Pour the cream sauce evenly over and around the salmon fillets in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 12 to 18 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a one-pan meal, you can roast asparagus or cherry tomatoes alongside the salmon during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, allow the sauce mixture to simmer on the stovetop for 3 minutes before pouring it over the fish.
  • Use salmon portions that are roughly the same thickness for even cooking.
