Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, sliced (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, parsley, and black pepper to create the glaze.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
Spoon the honey garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
Place two thin lemon slices on top of each fillet, if desired.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes to slightly caramelize the glaze, watching closely to prevent burning.
This recipe works well for meal prepping; store cooled salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
If you prefer a crispier top, skip the foil and bake directly on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
