A sophisticated and refreshing mocktail, the Blackberry Thyme Sparkler is perfect for special occasions. It combines the sweet tartness of blackberries with the aromatic notes of thyme, creating an elegant non-alcoholic beverage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated until dissolved, then cooled)
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh blackberries and thyme sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Gently muddle the fresh blackberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the thyme sprigs, simple syrup, and lemon juice to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  4. Secure the lid and shake well until the outside of the shaker is chilled.
  5. Double strain the mixture into a chilled glass filled with fresh ice.
  6. Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  7. Garnish with fresh blackberries and a sprig of thyme.

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, reduce the amount of simple syrup.
  • If you don’t have fresh thyme, you can use 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme, but fresh is recommended for best flavor.
  • Ensure your sparkling water is well-chilled for maximum fizziness.
