Ingredients
Scale
1 fully cooked ham (about 8-10 lbs)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, pineapple juice, apple cider vinegar, and ground cloves to create the glaze.
Brush half of the glaze mixture evenly over the surface of the ham.
Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or according to your ham package directions for reheating.
Remove the ham from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the ham.
Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Return the ham to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, watching closely until the glaze is bubbly and deeply caramelized.
Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use a spiral-cut ham for easier glaze penetration.
Reserve some glaze to serve on the side if desired.
If the ham starts to brown too quickly, loosely tent it with aluminum foil.
