Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded chicken. Mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in the buffalo wing sauce and the ranch or blue cheese dressing until everything is evenly mixed.
  4. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Top evenly with the shredded cheddar cheese and blue cheese crumbles, if using.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions.
  8. Serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Notes

  • You can assemble this dip ahead of time and keep it covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Add about 5 extra minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
  • For a slow cooker version, combine all ingredients except the top cheese layer, cook on low for 2 hours, then top with cheese and cook until melted.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, use blue cheese dressing instead of ranch.
