This classic hot party dip is creamy, cheesy, and spicy, made with shredded chicken. It is a go-to for any gathering, especially football parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Spoon the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish or a 2-quart oven-safe dish.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the dip.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden.
  6. Remove from oven and let stand for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
  8. Serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Notes

  • For a crockpot version, combine all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until hot and bubbly. Stir occasionally.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo wing sauce to your preferred spice level.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken for a quick and easy option.
  • Blue cheese dressing can be used instead of ranch for a different flavor profile.
