Follow this simple recipe to make a hearty, creamy casserole featuring chicken, bacon, ranch dressing, and a crispy tater tot topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, milk, and ranch dressing. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken and crumbled bacon into the soup mixture.
  4. Spread half of the tater tots evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Pour the chicken and bacon mixture over the tater tots layer.
  6. Sprinkle the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses evenly over the top of the filling.
  7. Arrange the remaining tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the tater tots are golden brown and crisp.
  9. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for faster preparation.
  • Substitute cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken if needed.
  • For extra crispiness, you can bake the tater tots separately for 10 minutes before adding them to the casserole.
  • Use any combination of your favorite melting cheeses.
