Make the sweet, creamy, and crunchy grape salad famous at Chicken Salad Chick. This recipe uses a cream cheese base and a pecan topping for a perfect potluck side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs red and green seedless grapes
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and well combined.
  4. Pour the cream cheese dressing over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Mix well.
  7. Sprinkle the pecan and brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of the salad.
  8. Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • For best results, use a mix of red and green grapes for color contrast.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans in the topping if desired.
  • Make this salad up to 24 hours ahead; add the topping just before serving for maximum crunch.
