Ingredients
Scale
1 lb cooked, shredded chicken breast
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup creamy Caesar dressing
1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, Caesar dressing, Monterey Jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the filling is creamy.
Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. If the dough is one large piece, cut it in half to create two rectangles.
Spoon half of the chicken mixture onto the center of one dough rectangle, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a long, sealed pocket, similar to a calzone or stromboli. Crimp the edges firmly with a fork to seal completely. Repeat with the second dough piece and remaining filling.
Place the sealed dough pockets onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops evenly with the beaten egg wash. Cut three small slits on the top of each bake to allow steam to escape.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is hot throughout.
Let the chicken bakes cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for quick preparation.
You can substitute the pizza dough with puff pastry if you prefer a flakier crust.
For an extra savory flavor, lightly brush the baked crust with melted butter before serving.
