Make the rich, sweet Iced White Chocolate Mocha flavor from Starbucks at home using this recipe for the required white chocolate sauce and assembly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 ounces high-quality white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 2 shots espresso, cooled
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Make the white chocolate sauce: Combine sugar, heavy cream, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the chopped white chocolate and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce into a clean jar and let it cool completely. This makes extra sauce for multiple drinks.
  4. To assemble one drink: Measure 2 tablespoons of the cooled white chocolate sauce into a tall glass.
  5. Pour the cooled coffee or espresso over the sauce and stir to combine.
  6. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  7. Pour the milk over the ice.
  8. Stir the drink well until the sauce is fully incorporated.
  9. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the heavy cream in the sauce with full-fat coconut cream and use your preferred non-dairy milk for the drink.
  • If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, increase the espresso to 3 shots.
  • The white chocolate sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
