This cranberry apple baked brie is an easy, fast, and elegant appetizer. Top a wheel of brie with cranberries, apples, nuts, and maple syrup. Then bake until gooey. This show-stopping appetizer is a crowd-pleaser with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) wheel of brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 small apple, finely diced (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Crackers, baguette slices, or apple slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the brie wheel on a small, oven-safe baking dish or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the fresh cranberries, diced apple, chopped pecans or walnuts, maple syrup, and ground cinnamon (if using). Stir gently to combine.
  4. Spoon the cranberry-apple mixture evenly over the top of the brie wheel.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the brie is softened and gooey, and the topping is bubbly.
  6. Carefully remove from the oven. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve warm with crackers, baguette slices, or fresh apple slices.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, lightly toast the nuts before adding them to the mixture.
  • If you prefer, you can score the top rind of the brie in a crosshatch pattern before adding the topping to help the cheese melt more evenly.
  • This appetizer is best served immediately while warm and gooey.
