Creamy Ground Beef Pasta is a quick and comforting dish. This recipe combines savory ground beef with a rich, creamy sauce and pasta. It is a family-friendly meal that comes together easily.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces pasta (such as penne or rotini)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  3. Pour in diced tomatoes and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Add the pasta to the skillet. Stir well to combine and ensure the pasta is mostly submerged in the liquid.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
  • You can use any short pasta shape you prefer.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
