This is a simple, healthy, and creamy Tuna Pasta Salad recipe perfect for meal prepping or a quick lunch. You will love the fresh flavor and how easy it is to put together for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound dried pasta (like rotini or elbow macaroni)
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna in water, drained well
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise for a richer taste)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and rinse immediately with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise), celery, red onion, and pickle relish.
  3. Add the lemon juice and Dijon mustard to the mixture. Stir well to combine everything evenly.
  4. Gently fold the cooled pasta into the tuna mixture until it is completely coated.
  5. Season generously with salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • You can add chopped hard-boiled eggs for extra protein.
  • Stir in 1/4 cup of chopped fresh dill or parsley for extra freshness.
  • This salad tastes even better the next day.
