Ingredients
Scale
2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Place the cubed steak into your slow cooker. Sprinkle evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss gently to coat the steak pieces.
Pour the beef broth over the steak mixture in the crockpot.
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.
Pour the melted garlic butter mixture and the Worcestershire sauce over the steak in the slow cooker. Stir everything together lightly.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is fork-tender.
Once cooked, remove the lid and stir the steak bites. If you prefer a slightly thicker sauce, you can remove the steak and simmer the liquid on high for 10-15 minutes, or mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir into the hot liquid until thickened.
Return the steak to the sauce, toss to coat, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For the best ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ texture, use sirloin or chuck steak and cook on the LOW setting for the full duration.
Serve these steak bites over mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the rich garlic butter sauce.
If you want a pepper steak variation, add one sliced bell pepper and one sliced onion during the last hour of cooking.
