Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, no need to thaw)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
If using frozen shrimp, place them directly into the air fryer basket without thawing. If using fresh, pat them dry with paper towels.
In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the garlic butter mixture.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Cooking time depends on size; smaller shrimp need less time.
Remove from the air fryer, immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Serve immediately as an appetizer or over salads or tacos.
Notes
For extra heat, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix.
If you prefer a crispier texture, you can lightly spray the shrimp with cooking spray before seasoning, though this recipe focuses on juicy results.
This recipe works well for meal prepping; store cooled shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
