Make a quick and delicious fruit pizza using a store-bought sugar cookie dough base and a simple cream cheese frosting. This is a perfect easy fruit dessert for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 cups mixed fresh fruit (such as strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and mandarin oranges)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the refrigerated dough package for baking cookies.
  2. Press the sugar cookie dough evenly onto a 12-inch pizza pan or a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the cookie crust according to the package directions until lightly golden brown around the edges. This usually takes 12 to 15 minutes. Let the cookie crust cool completely on the pan.
  4. While the crust cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to the cream cheese. Beat until the frosting is light and creamy.
  6. Once the cookie crust is fully cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top, leaving a small border like a pizza crust.
  7. Arrange your mixed fresh fruit decoratively over the frosting. You can create patterns or simply scatter the fruit for a colorful look.
  8. Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the frosting set.

Notes

  • For mini fruit pizzas, use pre-made mini sugar cookie crusts or cut circles from rolled-out dough before baking.
  • To make the fruit topping shine, you can brush the assembled pizza lightly with thinned apricot jam or a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and lemon juice.
  • Use seasonal fruit for the best flavor. Kiwi and berries offer great color contrast against the white frosting.
