Make healthy fruit and veggie gummies at home. These treats use real juice and hidden vegetables. They are low in sugar and fun for kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fruit juice (such as apple, orange, or grape)
  • 1/4 cup pureed vegetables (like spinach, carrots, or sweet potato)
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for tang)

Instructions

  1. Combine fruit juice and pureed vegetables in a small saucepan. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin powder over the juice mixture. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in honey or maple syrup and lemon juice, if using.
  5. Pour the mixture into silicone molds (gummy bear molds work well).
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once firm, pop the gummies out of the molds. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen pureed vegetables. Make sure they are cooked and smooth.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your family’s preference.
  • These gummies are best enjoyed within one week.
