Enjoy these quick and flavorful garlic butter steak bites with mushrooms, a perfect date-night meal ready in just 10 minutes. This simple skillet recipe brings tender steak cubes and earthy mushrooms together in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, quartered
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the quartered mushrooms and cook until they are softened and browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return the seared steak cubes to the skillet with the mushrooms and garlic. Toss to coat everything in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the steak is heated through.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure your skillet is hot before adding the steak to achieve a good sear.
  • Do not overcook the steak; it should be tender and juicy.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
