Ingredients
Scale
1 pound pizza dough
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For Marinara Sauce:
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.
Cut the dough into 1-inch strips.
Tie each strip into a knot.
Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the knots generously with the garlic butter mixture.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
While the knots are baking, prepare the marinara sauce. In a small saucepan, combine tomato sauce, minced garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through.
Serve the warm garlic knots with the marinara dipping sauce.
Notes
You can use store-bought pizza dough for convenience.
Adjust the garlic and herbs in the butter mixture to your preference.
For a spicier marinara, add more red pepper flakes.
