Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place them in the prepared baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning until combined.
Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
If using, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top of the sauce.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the sauce is bubbly.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a low-carb option, skip the breadcrumbs.
You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts; adjust the cooking time as needed.
If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover the dish with foil for the last 10 minutes of baking.
