Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • For the Lime Crema:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional Toppings: shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, diced red onion, sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the fish fillets with the spice mixture.
  4. Grill the fish for 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. While the fish is grilling, prepare the lime crema by whisking together sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, and salt in a small bowl.
  6. Lightly grill or warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet until pliable.
  7. Flake the grilled fish into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with flaked fish.
  9. Drizzle generously with the lime crema.
  10. Add your favorite optional toppings.

Notes

  • You can also cook the fish in a skillet if you don’t have a grill.
  • Adjust the lime juice and zest to your preference for tanginess.
  • Feel free to experiment with different types of white fish.
