Ingredients
Scale
2 tuna steaks (6 ounces each)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, honey, and black pepper.
Place tuna steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the tuna, ensuring both sides are coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature, or up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
Remove tuna steaks from the marinade, letting any excess drip off.
Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil.
Grill the tuna steaks for 3-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. For medium-rare, aim for a quick sear.
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, you can marinate the tuna for up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Adjust grilling time based on the thickness of your tuna steaks and your preferred level of doneness.
Serve with your favorite side dishes like steamed rice or a fresh salad.
