Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork tenderloin for 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
  4. While the pork is searing, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the pork in the skillet.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven. If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the pork to a plate and tent with foil. In the skillet, whisk together cornstarch and water, then bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat until thickened.
  8. Slice the pork tenderloin and serve with the honey garlic sauce spooned over the top.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute tamari for soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • Serve with rice or your favorite steamed vegetables.
