Enjoy a bright and flavorful 25-minute Lemon Pepper Chicken Fettuccine. This recipe features tender lemon-garlic chicken tossed with fettuccine in a creamy pepper sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra zest, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like spinach or broccoli.
  • Adjust lemon and pepper to your taste.
