Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken wings, flats and drumettes separated
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup Sriracha
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, chopped green onions
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps them crisp up.
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Place the chicken wings in a large bowl. Pour about half of the glaze over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the wings from the oven and flip them over. Pour the remaining glaze over the wings and toss to coat.
Bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For crispier wings, you can bake them for an additional 5-10 minutes after glazing.
Adjust the amount of Sriracha to control the spice level.
This recipe can also be made in an air fryer. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through and glazing during the last few minutes of cooking.
