Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: Cotija cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream.
  2. Add the chopped cilantro, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, and cumin.
  3. Stir everything together until well combined and smooth.
  4. Taste and add salt as needed.
  5. For best flavor, let the sauce sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve over grilled or boiled corn, and garnish with Cotija cheese if desired.

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili powder, or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • If you don’t have sour cream, you can use plain Greek yogurt.
  • This sauce is also delicious as a dip for other grilled vegetables or as a spread for sandwiches.
