Ingredients
Scale
3 lb beef chuck roast
1 (1 oz) packet dry ranch seasoning mix
1 (1 oz) packet dry au jus gravy mix
1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers (drained)
1/2 cup pepperoncini juice
12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup sliced dill pickles
Instructions
Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
Pour the pepperoncini juice over the top. Add the whole pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the beef is easily shredded.
Remove the roast from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the juices.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected.
Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top evenly with the shredded beef mixture. Place the top halves of the rolls over the beef.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.
Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
Place the sliced pickles on top of the buttered tops.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the sandwiches are heated through.
Notes
You can shred the beef a day ahead and store it in the refrigerator with some of the cooking liquid. Reheat before assembling the sliders.
If you prefer less heat, use fewer pepperoncini peppers or omit them entirely, using only the juice for flavor.
These sliders keep well on the warm setting of a slow cooker for up to one hour for serving at a party.
