Make a rich and savory pasta dish using just one pot for easy cleanup. This recipe features a creamy sauce flavored strongly with garlic and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces linguine or fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the pasta, chicken broth, minced garlic, butter, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into a large pot or Dutch oven.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir frequently to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to simmer, stirring often, until the pasta is cooked through and most of the liquid has been absorbed, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the heavy cream and the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste the pasta and add more salt or pepper if needed.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

  • If the sauce seems too thick after adding the cream, add a splash of milk or reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Use high-quality Parmesan cheese for the best flavor in the sauce.
