Ingredients
Scale
2 (15-ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Pour both cans of undrained sliced peaches into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread them evenly.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix layer.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. It’s delicious warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
You can use fresh peaches if desired. Peel and slice about 6-8 medium peaches, then toss them with 1/2 cup sugar before placing them in the baking dish.
For a richer flavor, add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or nutmeg to the cake mix before sprinkling.
Store any leftover cobbler covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven.
