This easy peach cobbler uses a cake mix topping for a warm, bubbly, and comforting dessert with minimal effort. It’s perfect for a quick sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pour both cans of undrained sliced peaches into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread them evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix layer.
  5. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  6. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. It’s delicious warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • You can use fresh peaches if desired. Peel and slice about 6-8 medium peaches, then toss them with 1/2 cup sugar before placing them in the baking dish.
  • For a richer flavor, add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or nutmeg to the cake mix before sprinkling.
  • Store any leftover cobbler covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven.
