Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls or similar dinner rolls
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the entire block of rolls horizontally, keeping them connected at the bottom.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly on the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Layer half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  5. Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  6. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  8. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  9. Brush the butter mixture generously over the top of the rolls.
  10. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tops are golden brown.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  13. Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning to the garlic butter.
  • If you prefer a crispier bottom, you can lightly toast the bottom half of the rolls before adding the toppings.
  • These sliders are best served immediately, but leftovers can be reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
