Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (if needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until well combined and smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until no streaks remain.
  4. If using, fold in the mini marshmallows and chopped nuts.
  5. If the mixture is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to set.
  7. Serve chilled.
