Make tender, flaky salmon fillets with a rich honey garlic butter glaze using this quick oven-baked method.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This helps the glaze adhere and promotes better texture. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Spoon the honey garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet. Season lightly with black pepper.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For crispier skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before brushing with the glaze.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, you can briefly broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning the honey.
  • This recipe works well for air frying; cook at 380°F (195°C) for 10-12 minutes.
