A vibrant and healthy dip made with edamame, sesame, and ginger, perfect for a quick and nutritious snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen shelled edamame, thawed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons water, or more as needed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the thawed edamame, tahini, lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, water, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Process until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Add more water, one tablespoon at a time, if a thinner consistency is desired.
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Serve with your favorite dippers like pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Ensure your edamame is fully thawed before processing for the smoothest texture.
  • For a spicier kick, you can add a small piece of fresh chili pepper to the food processor.
  • This hummus can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
