  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Hamburger buns or slider rolls
  • Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, sliced red onion

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  6. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
  7. Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
  8. Serve the pulled chicken on hamburger buns or slider rolls with your favorite toppings.
