Make tender, flavorful BBQ pulled pork chops in your slow cooker with minimal effort. This easy ‘dump and go’ recipe is perfect for sandwiches, feeding a crowd, or meal prepping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2-3 pounds boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Place pork chops in the slow cooker.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork is very tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  6. Remove the pork chops from the slow cooker and place them on a cutting board.
  7. Shred the pork using two forks.
  8. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
  9. Keep warm until ready to serve. Serve on buns or with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the pork chops in a hot pan for a few minutes per side before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If the sauce is too thin, you can remove the shredded pork and simmer the sauce on high, uncovered, for 15-30 minutes, or until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Leftovers store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • This recipe is versatile; adjust the spices or add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
