Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet (0.87 ounces) dry chicken gravy mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  3. Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is very tender and easily shredded.
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the gravy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve warm over your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For a thicker gravy, you can mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the hot gravy during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Consider adding sliced mushrooms or a can of drained peas for extra vegetables.
  • Leftovers store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
