Ingredients
Scale
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
1 teaspoon activated charcoal powder
1 cup cold water
Ice cubes
Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Edible glitter (optional)
Instructions
In a pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, 1 cup of water, and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
In a small bowl, whisk together the activated charcoal powder with 1 cup of cold water until smooth. Ensure there are no clumps.
Pour the charcoal mixture into the lemon juice mixture. Stir well to combine.
Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes.
Pour the black lemonade over the ice.
Garnish with lemon slices or a sprinkle of edible glitter if desired.
Notes
Adjust the sugar to your preferred sweetness level.
For a deeper black color, you can add a tiny bit more activated charcoal, but be cautious as too much can affect the flavor.
