Ingredients
Scale
6 cups Cranberry Juice (100% juice preferred)
3 cups Orange Juice (freshly squeezed is best)
1/2 cup Orange Liqueur (optional, for alcoholic version)
4 cups Ginger Ale or Sparkling Water, chilled
1 Orange, thinly sliced for garnish
1 cup Fresh Cranberries for garnish
Ice ring or large ice cubes
Instructions
In a large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice, orange juice, and orange liqueur if you are using it. Stir well to mix the base liquids.
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. This makes the final assembly quicker.
Just before your guests arrive, gently pour in the chilled ginger ale or sparkling water. Stir very slowly once or twice to combine without losing too much fizz.
Create a festive garnish by floating the orange slices and fresh cranberries on top of the punch.
Add a large ice ring or plenty of ice cubes to keep the punch cold throughout the gathering.
Serve immediately in glasses.
Notes
For a beautiful ice ring, freeze water with some reserved orange slices and cranberries in a bundt pan.
If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the orange liqueur and use sparkling white grape juice instead of ginger ale for extra sweetness.
Prepare the juice base (cranberry and orange) a day ahead. Add the carbonated element right before serving.
