Make this creamy, savory olive dip quickly. It is a cold appetizer perfect for serving with crackers or vegetables at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pitted green olives, drained
  • 1/2 cup pitted black olives, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese, green olives, black olives, mayonnaise, parsley, garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Pulse the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. For a smoother dip, process until fully combined. For a chunkier texture, pulse fewer times.
  3. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve cold with crackers, pita bread, or fresh vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • You can make this dip up to 2 days ahead of time; store it covered in the refrigerator.
  • For a Mediterranean flavor variation, add 1 tablespoon of drained capers.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can finely chop the olives and mash the mixture by hand with a fork, though the texture will be less uniform.
