Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted, plus more for rolling
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Stir in the toasted chopped pecans, maple syrup, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball.
  4. Roll the cheese ball in additional chopped pecans, pressing gently to coat.
  5. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and firm up.
  6. Serve chilled with crackers or bread.

Notes

  • To toast pecans: Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until fragrant. Let them cool completely before chopping.
  • For a smoother texture, you can use an electric mixer to combine the ingredients.
  • This cheese ball can be made up to 2 days in advance.
