8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted, plus more for rolling
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Stir in the toasted chopped pecans, maple syrup, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Shape the mixture into a ball.
Roll the cheese ball in additional chopped pecans, pressing gently to coat.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and firm up.
Serve chilled with crackers or bread.
Notes
To toast pecans: Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until fragrant. Let them cool completely before chopping.
For a smoother texture, you can use an electric mixer to combine the ingredients.
