Enjoy a delicious and comforting Oatmeal Peach Crisp, made with fresh, juicy peaches and a crunchy oat topping. This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for any occasion and brings a taste of homemade goodness to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 6-8 medium peaches)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the peach mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Add the cold butter pieces to the oat mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the oat topping over the peaches in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
  7. Let the crisp cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra crisp topping, you can add 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts to the oat mixture.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a delightful treat.
  • If fresh peaches are not in season, you can use frozen or canned peaches, drained well.
